ibanez 540pii

I bought it 1996 second hand for 1540,- DM in a guitar store here in Germany. I don't know when it was build and when the airbrush graphic was done, but it could have been in the Netherlands because of a sticker inside. Since then I used it live heavily as you can see on the close-up picture - there are a lot of little marks and scratches on the surface. It still has the widest and thinnest neck I ever had in my hands, feels very comfortable for accurate shredding ;-). It has 24 frets unlike the other 540 PII that's on this site and, too, no pickguard unlike it is presented in an old catalogue. I made some modifications: I replaced the original F3 Humbucker with a Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader to have more output. I "customized" the whammy bar with a thicker grip and bloody red stripes. One thing I wasn't comfortable with was the top-heaviness because of the small body, so I glued a fat cube of iron into the electric compartment. It works great for me, now the 540 PII is kinda heavy, but it fits perfectly to my body without making my left shoulder ache.

If someone has further information about this ibanez 540pii guitar, please let me know.
